Exploration
Systematic, stage-gated exploration that moves Ugandan ground from prospect to qualified, bankable project.
Our exploration work
Evidence first, capital second
Exploration is the foundation of everything Memnon builds. We hold granted exploration licences in prospective Ugandan gold districts and we assess third-party ground — small-scale and artisanal licence areas — that could feed the production platform.
Every area is advanced through the same disciplined sequence: understand the geology, sample it properly, verify results independently, and only then commit development capital. That discipline protects investors, licence holders and host communities alike.
Own licences
Granted exploration licences worked under Memnon’s own programmes.
Partner ground
Reconnaissance and qualification of third-party licence areas before any commitment.

Exploration licence portfolio
A licence-backed pipeline
Five granted exploration licences across prospective Ugandan gold districts sit alongside the Kasanda development on SML 00575 — giving the platform a pipeline that runs from early-stage ground to production.
Licence and resource information is indicative and subject to verification. No mineral resource or reserve estimate is implied unless independently verified under recognised reporting standards.
How we explore
Review → Reconnaissance → Sampling → Targets → Resource
A five-stage programme with a clear decision point at every gate. Ground that does not meet the standard is stopped early; ground that does is advanced with confidence.
Desktop review
Licence status, historical data, regional geology and access.
Reconnaissance
Field visits, geological mapping and artisanal-workings survey.
Sampling & assay
Rock-chip, soil and channel samples, independently assayed.
Target definition
Trenching, pitting and geophysics to define drill-ready targets.
Resource modelling
Drilling, modelling and reporting toward recognised standards.

What we look for
Primary and secondary gold targets
Ugandan gold typically occurs in two settings, and our field programmes are designed to test both. Understanding which one dominates decides how deep the geology must go, what plant a project needs and how quickly it can be developed.
- Primary gold in quartz veins and shear zones
- Secondary gold in eluvial and alluvial cover
- Host-rock and structural controls
- Depth potential beneath artisanal workings
- Ore hardness and early metallurgical behaviour
- Tailings as a possible complementary feed
Technical assurance
Independent verification at every step
Memnon’s geologists work with specialist partners so that results are checked by someone other than the party that wants the project to succeed. Samples follow documented chain-of-custody to independent laboratories, and geological and resource models are built with professional mining software.
Field geology
Experienced Ugandan geologists, with Optima Mines & Minerals as strategic partner.
Independent assay
Accredited laboratory analysis with QA/QC standards, blanks and duplicates.
Resource modelling
Digital geological modelling and mine planning with K-Mine.

Compliance-first
From exploration ground to a mining licence
Good geology is not enough on its own. In Uganda, the projects that reach production are the ones whose compliance work keeps pace with their technical work. Memnon carries both in parallel, so a qualified project is ready for licensing, financing and processing at the same time.
Licensing
Licence verification, conversion and good standing with the Directorate of Geological Survey and Mines.
Environment
Environmental and social assessment and NEMA requirements addressed early.
Mine plan
A mining plan supported by the geology, not assumed ahead of it.
Community
Engagement with landowners, miners’ associations and local leadership from the first visit.
Where qualified projects go next
Projects that pass every gate move into a ring-fenced project vehicle and onto the ore-to-doré production platform operated through the Concord Minerals Group joint venture. Development capital is committed at project level, only after qualification.
Next phase · Planned
Extending exploration to critical minerals
The same stage-gated method applies beyond gold. Memnon plans to extend its exploration work into critical minerals, screening opportunities with international offtakers, grant-making institutions and government partners involved from the earliest stage.

Geology and exploration data
Licence documentation, reconnaissance reports, assay results and technical work programmes are released to qualified investors and partners under NDA and KYC.
