Kasanda Gold Project
Memnon Capital Africa’s first ore-to-doré gold development, on Small-Scale Mining Licence 00575 at Kasanda, Uganda — in development, ahead of commercial production.
Project overview
A licence-backed ore-to-doré development
The Kasanda Gold Project is the flagship of Memnon’s minerals and mining platform. It is built on a granted Small-Scale Mining Licence (SML 00575) and is designed to aggregate qualified gold ore, process it accountably in a structured processing plant, and produce sealed, reconciled doré under full chain-of-custody — the operating model described on our mining platform page.
The project is in development. Project agreements have been signed and capital allocated, geological work is under way, initial processing-plant equipment has been ordered and site infrastructure work has been scheduled. Commercial production has not started, and no mineral resource or reserve estimate is implied.
Licence
Small-Scale Mining Licence 00575, Kasanda, Uganda.
Commodity
Gold — ore to sealed, reconciled doré.
Structure
Memnon participates through the Concord Minerals Group joint venture under signed project agreements with the licence holder and operating party.
Stage
Development, ahead of commercial production (status as at 1 October 2026).

Licence holder, operator and joint venture
How the project is structured
The Kasanda development brings together three roles under signed project agreements: the holder of Small-Scale Mining Licence 00575, the party responsible for operating the site, and the joint-venture structure through which Memnon participates. Memnon’s interest is held through the Concord Minerals Group joint venture, the structure named across this website, which combines Memnon’s capital, processing platform and governance with its partners’ on-the-ground operating capability, licence access and local execution.
Licence holder
SML 00575 is a granted small-scale mining licence. The licence holder participates in the project under the signed project agreements and is identified to qualified investors in the data room.
Site operations
Day-to-day site operations are carried out under the project agreements with the operating party; Memnon contributes the ore-to-doré processing platform, technical screening, governance and reporting.
Concord Minerals Group joint venture
The joint-venture structure through which Memnon and its partners hold their interest in the Kasanda development, with project-level arrangements sitting beneath it and clear roles for each party.
The parties to the project agreements, their legal names, the agreement terms and financing details are disclosed to qualified investors and partners through the data room under NDA and KYC. Nothing on this page implies ownership of the licence by Memnon.

Development methodology
Licence → Assay → Processing → Doré → Reporting
Kasanda is being developed under the same stage-gated, evidence-first discipline that governs every Memnon project: geological work and metallurgical test work ahead of plant decisions, and chain-of-custody from the first weighbridge reading to sealed doré.
Licence
Granted SML 00575. The development plan provides for licence standing and environmental and regulatory requirements to be kept in good order with the Directorate of Geological Survey and Mines, NEMA and other relevant authorities as the project advances.
Geology & assay
Field mapping, representative sampling and independent assay, intended to establish grade and ore behaviour before processing terms are fixed. Geological work is under way.
Processing
A structured processing plant, to be specified and procured in stages as geological and metallurgical work progresses.
Doré
Sealed doré under custody, with expected gold reconciled against recovered gold at batch level.
Reporting
Reconciliation, variance flags and board-level reporting through the Ore-to-Doré Management System.
Technical team
Memnon’s geologists and operations team work with specialist partners for field geology, independent assay and resource modelling — see how we explore and our partner network.
Environment & community
Environmental and social requirements are addressed with NEMA, and community engagement follows the approach set out on our Impact & ESG and Community Development pages.
Formalisation
The project is part of Memnon’s work with UGAASM and licence holders to bring small-scale gold production into compliant, safer and better-financed structures.
